Why should I remember the books of the Bible?
A solider takes time to study his weapon; learning every piece and where it belongs. A Christian should do the same with the Sword (Ephesians 6:17, "Word of God"). Not knowing the books of the Bible can be frustrating and embarrassing; even to the point where it becomes a hindrance during Bible Studies or in Church Services. The devil doesn't want us to be able to locate scripture and WILL put excuses along your path to avoid it. The Bible says "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15
I have put this little collection together to help myself and others to take time and memorize the books of the Bible. I challenge you to take the time and study; you can do this!

This pack contains thirteen (13) verses from NavPress' introductory series Growing in Christ. These studies are made up of two titles: "Lessons on Assurance" & "Lessons on Christian Living." As an added bonus, an additional six (6) verses that give further insight into Christ's Parable of the Four Soils as revealed in Mark 4:1-20 are added to this introductory pack--making a set of 19 verses in all. Every selected passage points to the fundamentals of the Christian life.
As in baseball (where the fundamentals of the game are batting, running, fielding, throwing, and catching), the fundamentals of the Christian life surround a knowledge of salvation, prayer, victory, forgiveness, divine guidance, the Lordship of Christ, grace, love, giving, the church, good works, as well as the power of our words and life witness.
