Weil er für sie gestorben ist, gehört ihr Leben nicht mehr ihnen selbst, sondern dem, der für sie gestorben und zum Leben erweckt worden ist.

Wenn also ein Mensch zu Christus gehört, ist er schon »neue Schöpfung«. Was er früher war, ist vorbei; etwas ganz Neues hat begonnen.

And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.


Was ich dir vor vielen Zeugen als die Lehre unseres Glaubens übergeben habe, das gib in derselben Weise an zuverlässige Menschen weiter, die imstande sind, es anderen zu vermitteln

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.


Sie dienen dir aber auch bei deiner Aufgabe als Lehrer der Gemeinde. Denn jede Schrift, die von Gottes Geist eingegeben wurde, ist nützlich für die Unterweisung im Glauben, für die Zurechtweisung und Besserung der Irrenden, für die Erziehung zu einem Leben, das Gott gefällt.

He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.


Denn er hat uns aus der Gewalt der dunklen Mächte gerettet und uns unter die Herrschaft seines geliebten Sohnes gestellt. Durch den Sohn und in dessen Machtbereich ist uns die Erlösung zuteilgeworden: Unsere Schuld ist uns vergeben.

But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.



Aber alle, die auf den HERRN vertrauen, bekommen immer wieder neue Kraft, es wachsen ihnen Flügel wie dem Adler. Sie gehen und werden nicht müde, sie laufen und brechen nicht zusammen

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.


Der Vater wird euch in meinem Namen den Helfer senden, der an meine Stelle tritt, den Heiligen Geist. Der wird euch alles Weitere lehren und euch an alles erinnern, was ich selbst schon gesagt habe.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.



Zum Abschied gebe ich euch den Frieden, meinen Frieden, nicht den Frieden, den die Welt gibt. Erschreckt nicht, habt keine Angst!

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.


Jesus antwortete: »Ich bin der Weg, denn ich bin die Wahrheit und das Leben. Einen anderen Weg zum Vater gibt es nicht.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.


Gott hat die Menschen so sehr geliebt, dass er seinen einzigen Sohn hergab. Nun werden alle, die sich auf den Sohn Gottes verlassen, nicht zugrunde gehen, sondern ewig leben.

For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.


Jesus trat auf sie zu und sagte: »Gott hat mir unbeschränkte Vollmacht im Himmel und auf der Erde gegeben. Darum geht nun zu allen Völkern der Welt und macht die Menschen zu meinen Jüngern und Jüngerinnen! Tauft sie im Namen des Vaters und des Sohnes und des Heiligen Geistes, und lehrt sie, alles zu befolgen, was ich euch aufgetragen habe. Und das sollt ihr wissen: Ich bin immer bei euch, jeden Tag, bis zum Ende der Welt.

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.



Sorgt euch zuerst darum, dass ihr euch seiner Herrschaft unterstellt, und tut, was er verlangt, dann wird er euch schon mit all dem anderen versorgen.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.



Verlass dich nicht auf deinen Verstand, sondern setze dein Vertrauen ungeteilt auf den HERRN! Denk an ihn bei allem, was du tust; er wird dir den richtigen Weg zeigen.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!



 Den HERRN stets ernst zu nehmen, damit fängt alle Weisheit an. Wer es tut, beweist Verstand. Der Ruhm des HERRN hört niemals auf!

Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!



Durchforsche mich, Gott, sieh mir ins Herz, prüfe meine Wünsche und Gedanken! Und wenn ich in Gefahr bin, mich von dir zu entfernen, dann bring mich zurück auf den Weg zu dir!

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.



 Und Gott sah das Licht an: Es war gut. Dann trennte Gott das Licht von der Dunkelheit

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.


Zur Guten Nachricht bekenne ich mich offen und ohne Scheu. In ihr ist die Kraft Gottes am Werk und rettet alle, die der Botschaft glauben und sie im Vertrauen annehmen – an erster Stelle die Menschen aus dem jüdischen Volk und dann auch die aus den anderen Völkern.

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.


Ich bin ganz sicher, dass nichts uns von seiner Liebe trennen kann: weder Tod noch Leben, weder Engel noch Dämonen noch andere gottfeindliche Mächte, weder Gegenwärtiges noch Zukünftiges,weder Himmel noch Hölle. Nichts in der ganzen Welt kann uns jemals trennen von der Liebe Gottes, die uns verbürgt ist in Jesus Christus, unserem Herrn.
